Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind is building a new strategic plan to guide us into the future, but we can’t do it without you! To ensure our programs, services, and support actually meet the needs of our community, we need more than your presence. We need your perspective.
This is your seat at the table. Whether you are a student, a parent, a consumer, an alumnus, or a community partner, your experience is the blueprint for our success.
Speak Up: Tell us what’s working and what needs to change.
Be Heard: Ensure the specific needs of the Deaf, Blind, and DeafBlind communities are prioritized.
Shape Change: Your input will directly influence AIDB’s goals for the next three years.
Join us at an upcoming Town Hall and make your voice the one that matters.
May 8th: 10 AM to 12 PM

AIDB Montgomery RC Case Manager for the Deaf, Xavius Turner, recently connected with the ASL Club at Floyd Magnet Middle School for a meaningful and inspiring experience.

Students spent the school year learning American Sign Language and exploring Deaf culture through the ASL Club. What started as curiosity quickly grew into excitement and a strong interest in learning and communicating through ASL.

We are so proud of these students and the dedication they have shown throughout the year! On the last day of class, they will showcase their ASL skills for their parents as a celebration of all they have learned through the ASL Club.
