The College of Education proudly celebrates our very own Dr. Travis Smith (Tee Smith), Assistant Professor and Interim Program Coordinator for the Educational Leadership, Policy and Law Program, for his leadership in helping establish a transformative $1.3 million partnership between Unite Inc. and Alabama State University.
As beneficiaries of the Smith Brooks Endowed Professorship and the Unite Endowed Professorship, the College of Education is excited about the opportunities these investments will create to strengthen leadership development, civic engagement, scholarship, and educator preparation.
Congratulations, Dr. Smith, on this historic achievement and your continued commitment to advancing Alabama State University and the next generation of leaders.

The College of Education was proud to engage with high school students during the SOAR College Browse, sharing the many opportunities available through Alabama State University and the COE.
Helping lead the effort were two of our outstanding College of Education students and Men of Distinction in Education members, Mr. Moses Tyree III and Mr. Clinton Chisholm, who served as mentors and ambassadors while connecting with prospective students.
Representing the College were Academic Advisors Mr. Christopher Gillion and Ms. Dorrian Richardson, along with Dr. Gibbons, Dr. Ringer, and Dean Dr. Anthony Broughton. Together, the team showcased the College of Education’s commitment to excellence, leadership, and preparing the next generation of educators, leaders, and recreation clinicians.
The COE was live on the scene, engaging students, answering questions, and demonstrating why Alabama State University continues to be a destination for future educators, recreation clinicians, and leaders.
