💜🩵 “It’s Okay Not to Be Okay!” 🩵💜

In recognition of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, T.S. Morris Elementary was honored to have Mr. Brandon Hendricks of AB Kidz Nonprofit, alongside our wonderful school counselor, Ms. Ina Washington, share a powerful and age-appropriate message with our students: “It’s okay not to be okay, and it’s ALWAYS okay to ask for help!”

Our students were reminded that big feelings should never have to be carried alone. Through meaningful conversation, Mr. Hendricks and Ms. Washington encouraged them to speak up, reach out, check on one another, and know that there are caring adults ready to listen and support them.

We are grateful to Mr. Hendricks, Ms. Washington and principal Tameka Shepherd for helping us create a school community where our students know they are seen, heard, valued, and supported. Sometimes one conversation, one caring adult, or one simple act of kindness can make a tremendous difference. 💜

At T.S. Morris, we want every Mighty Marlin to remember: You matter. Your feelings matter. Your voice matters. And asking for help is a sign of strength. 🐟💙
