Pre-K is all about kindergarten readiness!

Our PreK classes fully prepare children for Kindergarten through a variety of readiness and play-based activities. Independence is promoted, children manage their own belongings and materials and have more responsibilities in the classroom. Curriculum content is age-appropriate, individualized to varying ability levels across all areas – language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and more. The Ladybugs and Frogs teachers align their lessons to Kindergarten expectations and children leave our PreK program well-prepared! We receive great feedback about their successes in Kindergarten upon completion of our program.

Interested in a 2 day a week preschool program? CUMC Preschool offers flexible scheduling to suit your needs!

Our 2 day a week class is a mixed-age program for 3- and 4-year-olds. It provides a warm, nurturing environment where children learn and grow together. In this thoughtfully designed setting, younger children are inspired by older peers, while older children build confidence and leadership skills by modeling kindness and responsibility. Through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and guided exploration, children develop early literacy and math skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and strong social-emotional foundations. Our experienced teachers thoughtfully support each child at their individual developmental level, ensuring that every learner feels valued, challenged, and successful.

Hello THREES!

We still have a few spots left in our three's program!

Our Threes classes follow a structured curriculum of topics which is shared monthly with families. The curriculum includes typical seasonal and academic concepts (alphabet, colors, shapes, holidays, etc) along with a strong emphasis on social/emotional development (kindness, manners, diversity, feelings) and play-based learning from a Christian perspective. The daily schedule includes whole-group and small-group activities, children can learn at their own pace with repetition and/or extra enrichment as needed. Our Threes classes include up to 14 children with 2 staff members keeping these classes small by design to maximize student progress and individual attention.

Registration is now open for fall and we would love to meet you and show you what sets CUMC Preschool apart. Class options available are a 2-, 3-or 5-day schedules from 9:15-1:15 as well as before and after care options. Our teaching teams work hard to have your child kindergarten-ready both socially and academically.

Ever wonder what your two year old will experience in preschool?

Our littlest learners are welcomed into a loving, play-filled school experience designed to create a love for school and lifelong learning. Programming includes introductory structured activities – circle time (songs, lessons, games), story time, snack time, small groups (crafts and learning activities) and lots of play time. Goals include learning to share, following directions, becoming more independent and expanding social and communication skills.

Registration is now open for fall and we would love for your child to join us! You can choose a 2-, 3-or 5-day schedule and we offer a shorter morning program - 9:15-11:45 - or your child can sign up for Lunch Bunch and stay until 1:15! Our team of loving and nurturing teachers provide the perfect start for your child to love school!
