Meet Chioma Akwara | KSM Dance Instructor ✨

Chioma Akwara is a passionate dance educator whose love for movement, artistry, and creativity began at a young age. Through studio training, competitive dance, and dance teams, she developed a strong foundation in technique and performance, further expanding her training locally and abroad.

She holds a degree in dance and has served as an adjunct instructor at Anne Arundel Community College and president of the AACC Dance Company.

At the heart of Chioma’s work is her love for teaching. She nurtures her students’ confidence, encourages creative expression, and helps them develop a lasting appreciation for the arts. We’re proud to have her passion and experience on the KSM team! 🧡

Meet Sadé Grigsby | KSM Dance Instructor ✨

From KSM student to instructor—a full-circle journey! Sadé’s love for African dance deepened in an after-school class with Kulture Shock Movement. Today, she brings that same passion to our team.

With 17 years of dance experience, Sadé began her training at Starlite Performing Arts in ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and African dance. She continued through the junior and senior dance companies at Albert Einstein High School, later exploring dancehall, Afrobeats, amapiano, and other styles across the African diaspora during college.

For Sadé, dance is her first love—a way to embrace music, express joy, and connect with culture. We’re proud to have her journey continue with KSM! 🧡
