Please take a moment to review this important message from Superintendent Dave Samuel regarding dismissal procedures across Montgomery County R-II.

While the 2:00 p.m. deadline for dismissal changes is not a new practice at MCE, this procedure will now be implemented district-wide to help ensure a safe, consistent dismissal process for every student.

We encourage MCE families to communicate dismissal changes as early in the day as possible. Early communication gives our office staff and teachers the time needed to make sure everyone has accurate information before dismissal begins.

This year volunteering is going to look different. No signing up for specific events but focusing on communication. Building the relationships and if you have a chance to help with more, we will gladly accept it! There are many ways to volunteer and support our school, and it starts with a voice and staying informed.

WE are Thankful for the opportunity to care for our Teachers and Staff this week!

Today was our first day celebrating TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK! Thank You to our wonderful parent volunteers for helping cover the lunch room and our staff Mixologist for keeping the soda orders going on your lunch break!

Wednesday is another special day as we WELCOME Manni’s by Maddie in to do hand massages and have lunches covered by some more wonderful parents for a little break! We are greatful for Madison donating her time to pamper our teachers! Enjoy the start to your week MCE Teachers and Staff!
