Today, Macon County welcomed State School Superintendent Richard Woods. Superintendent Woods visited our district to recognize Macon County Middle School for earning the prestigious John Hancock Award! The award our school received celebrates schools that demonstrate excellence in cursive writing. Schools earn recognition when at least 90% of students demonstrate proficiency in writing their names in cursive! Way to go MCMS students, teachers, & all who made this possible! We are proud of you! ❤️🖤🐾

Today, our students got to spend some quality time with some of the people who love them the most, their grandparents and loved ones. It was a great day. Thank you Ms. Verneda Johnson for putting this together. We appreciate you! ❤️🖤🐾
