Cole McCombs (8th clarinet) has spent the day at Central College for their middle school honor band learning from Professor Brad Lampe. One really cool tidbit from today is that the honor band is premiering a piece by composer, Andrew Mahaffey. Andrew was here for the day as well!

Hey Band fans! We wanted to inform you that the proposed tariff on brass instruments could hinder student participation in our band programs.

🎺 A newly proposed tariff on brass-wind instruments and accessories could make it even harder for music programs and families to afford the instruments students need.

Now is the time for music educators and advocates to make our voices heard! Submit a public comment by August 27 and reach out directly to your members of Congress to oppose the proposed tariff.
