Frank Lloyd Wright’s Walker House,
an illustrated lecture by Kathryn Smith
Smith is anoted national Wright expert. She has authored numerous books, articles and has lectured nationally on Wright .
May 20, 2023
6 pm – 7:30 pm
Stanton Center, 5 Custom House Plaza, Monterey.
Garage and street parking.
Drawn from her recent publication based on unpublished sources including drawings, letters, historic photos, and oral histories, Smith will reveal the surprising story of how Wright designed and constructed his only built waterfront house. Extensive new exterior and interior photos document Wright’s unique artistry for Della Walker, his client.
The lecture is co-sponsored by the Carmel Heritage Society and AIA Monterey Bay.
A book signing follows immediately after the lecture.
Admission is $10, doors open 5:30 pm.
