Jungmee Hwang started playing violin at the age of 4, first starting with her own mother who is a music major in violin/viola. Jungmee has won several Kiwanis Festival music competitions in Canada at a local level both in Calgary AB, and Kingston, ON. Jungmee was a member of Calgary Youth Orchestra. She continued to play throughout college and dental school in various orchestra. She met her husband Shuhsien Sheu, a board certified neuropathologist who also plays the violin, in Dudley Orchestra at Harvard University during her dental school years.
