💜 KINDERGARTEN INDEPENDENCE DAY! 💜

Parents, tomorrow is the big day! 🥹🎒✨ Our kindergarteners will be walking into school ALL BY THEMSELVES! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

We know this might tug on those mama and daddy heartstrings a little (okay… A LOT 😭), but don’t be sad! We’ve got them. ❤️

They are ready. They are brave. They are capable. And we will be right there cheering them on, helping them find their way, and making sure they feel safe and loved every step of the way. 🥰

So tomorrow, give them a BIG hug, a BIG smile, and a BIG “YOU’VE GOT THIS!” before they walk through those doors. 💪✨

They may be walking in without you, but they are never walking alone. 💜

Hi, my name is Tessa Lawrie and I am excited to be a new Teacher Assistant at Burks Elementary School. I have been married for 29 years, and have 4 children. I moved to Cookeville, Tennessee about 3 years ago from a small foothill community in Northern California. I have worked in a school setting since 2012 in a variety of capacities ranging from kitchen staff, RTI assistant, teacher aide, substitute teacher, and I even taught 5th grade for two years prior to moving to Tennessee. In my free time I enjoy walking/hiking, visiting the beach and mountains, and spending time with my family.
