Celebrating Grandmaster Ark Yuey Wong's Birthday January 11, 2026

GM Ark Y. Wong is known as the father of American Kung Fu for being the first Kung Fu Master to teach openly to non-Chinese in the late 1950s and also paved the road to help acupuncture to become legal in the mid 1970s. Today GM Wong's Five Animals / Five Family Kung Fu influence is evidence around the world through his many lineages.

The Secret of Kung Fu (The Yellow Book),
"To receive a Master in Kung Fu you must know and able to do kwan do, spear acting, steel whip, dagger acting, 3 sectional staff acting, Chinese six foot staff, tiger fork and all styles of fighting, also lion and dragon dancing. You must be tested and everything must be letter perfect before you can get a master".
