Dear supporters,

Thank you to all the supporters who voted for me (over 1700 votes as of 11/22/22) as I close out the campaign.

As my first time running for an elected office, I’m thrilled to have received so much support from Monterey Park residents. It has been a great run for the past 3 months.

I’m grateful that you believe change is needed in our district and stood by me. I can’t thank you enough.

Congratulations to Mr. Bob Gin for his re-election and I know he will work hard to make AUSD a great place for the next 4 years.

I also want to take this time to congratulate Fred Chang For AUSD Board D5 for winning the AUSD School Board District 5.

I still remember the day I convinced Fred to run for the board seat. It turns out to be a great decision. Now we have a DI parent who will be on the school board. Let’s all support behind Fred. After all, we as parents are doing what’s best for our kids’ future.

I want to take this time to thank everyone for the past 3 months who has supported my campaign for the board candidacy.

Since the beginning, we all knew it was an uphill battle running against an incumbent who has been on the job for the past 18 years. I still believe change is needed but the voters think otherwise. However, I was able to get over 1000 voters who has supported my platform.

First and foremost, I want to thank my wife, Bridget and my daughter, Jessica who have been strong support of my campaign.

I want to take this time to thank my campaign committee who has been there for me always. They are Jenny Chan, Elaine Chen, David Chang, Fred Chang, Anthony Ng, Jon Won, and Daniel Yang.

I also want to especially thank Ken Kan for taking the time to canvass with me along with Anthony Ng and Jon Won. Plus, all the parents who have put up yard signs and attended meet the candidate events.

Ken Wu has been instrumental for organizing educational seminars and providing media coverage. It was well worthwhile as the topics are important for our kids. I can’t thank him enough.

The most important of all, our DI parents who have supported me financially. I wouldn’t be able to print marketing materials without your monetary donation. I can’t thank you enough.

At last, the work doesn’t end here. We as DI parents will continue to push forward and fight for our kids what they deserve. Please support Fred Chang For AUSD Board D5 as he is leading to win the board candidacy for Area 5.

It has been truly a great experience and something I will never forget. I sincerely want to thank you all from bottom of my heart.

My wife, Bridget, got to vote for the first time in person after becoming a naturalized US citizen. My daughter got to select her daddy as the next AUSD School Board.

Our Asian American families are facing even tougher battle as kids are transitioning into college. It is important than ever that we as Asian parents must plan ahead for the future to ensure our kids get best education they deserve.

The U.S. Supreme Court hearings on affirmative action this week highlighted widespread fears among Asian Americans that they face bias in selective college admissions.

We are making a last push talking to the voters. Please remind your families and friends to vote for Tony Fan For AUSD Board Area 4 if they live in Area 4. I appreciate all your support as election is right around the corner. I also want to thank our campaign committee who made the time this morning.

I have decided to vote in person for the first time after the pandemic. The electronic system is fairly advance and polling people walked me through. Took me about 10 mins to complete.

We are only 7 days away from election. According to recent data, 89% of Californians are still uncommitted. Please spread the words and vote for Tony Fan For AUSD Board Area 4 and Fred Chang For AUSD Board D5. Your support is greatly appreciated.

We are also making a last push to canvass the neighborhood. We are looking for volunteers for this weekend. If you are interested, please send me a message. Thanks again for your support.
