Planning for Life After High School: Free Virtual Workshop by UW Extension Educators

Parents of high school students and teens are invited to join a free, interactive virtual workshop designed to help families navigate the often overwhelming transition from high school to adulthood. The workshop, titled “Planning for Life After High School,” will be held via Zoom on October 1st, 2025, from 6:00–7:00 PM.

This one-hour session is tailored to equip parents and teens with the tools and knowledge they need as they explore career and academic pathways, prepare for college or the workforce, and understand important medical and legal considerations. Whether a student is just starting high school or preparing to graduate, this workshop offers valuable insights for every stage.

Topics include:
Exploring career and academic pathway options
Academic and workforce preparation strategies
Medical and legal considerations for students turning 18
Practical tools such as yearly checklists and activity trackers
Emotional support and communication tips for parents
Participants will receive access to a comprehensive workbook filled with checklists, planning tools, and resources to guide conversations and decisions throughout the high school years and beyond.
