A singer can practice every day and still reinforce the same vocal problem.

The difference is whether you’re simply repeating or actually listening.

When a phrase consistently feels difficult, isolate it. Check the breath going into it. Listen to the vowel. Notice whether extra volume or tension appears as the pitch rises. Then change one variable and sing it again.

This is how singers become more independent. They start recognizing what their voice is doing instead of guessing their way through difficult songs.
