As our 2nd full week of school comes to a close, we would like to post a brief recap:

On Monday, we were joined by some of our wonderful substitutes for our annual “Drill Day.” Special thanks to Citizen Tri County Bank for providing gift bags for our subs. In addition, we would like to thank the Monteagle Fire Department for their assistance on this day. On Tuesday, FCA students had their first meeting of the 2026-2027 school year. And, as always, our students put in hard work throughout the week! We can’t wait to see what next week brings as well as the rest of the school year.

It is with great pleasure that Virginia Curry with the Monteagle Women's Association present a check from their Cottage Tour project in the amount of $2,000 to support the efforts of staff and students at Monteagle Elementary.

Yearbooks have arrived!!!

Students who preordered will be given theirs on August 14.

If your student is no longer at MES, they can be picked up in the office.

If you did not preorder, there are still a few available for purchase in the office for $45.

✨Welcome to Monteagle Elementary, Mrs. Tori Stevens✨

MES is excited to welcome Mrs. Stevens to the Hornet family! She shares:

My name is Tori Stevens and I am honored to be joining the Hornet family as the school Librarian.

MES holds a very special place in my heart and I am proud that I will be beginning my teaching career here. I have received my bachelor’s degree from UTC and am actively working on my Master’s degree in Elementary Education.

When I am not at school, I spend my time with my husband and two kids. We enjoy watching Braves Baseball and college football, Go Vols!

I am so excited for the school year and to share my love for reading with the students.

We can’t wait to see everyone at Meet the Teacher tonight starting at 4:00! Rosters will be posted on the doors beginning at 1:00 and will remain up until 7:00.

Pre-K info meeting will also take place tonight at 5:30 for those who received a Pre-K acceptance letter.
