Bring your chairs, blankets and appetites! The PTA's 3rd Annual Glenfield Welcome Back BBQ Style Picnic Event is coming! Join the Glenfield community on Friday, September 20, from 5-7pm at Glenfield Park (Woodland Avenue side). Meet up with old friends or make new ones! Come meet your PTA team, Glenfield administration and staff, and many Glenfield families! With your help, we'll have a variety of food selections, desserts options and more! SpiritWear will be available! You're invited to partner with us to make this another successful event! Simply sign up to bring a (nut-free) main course, side dish, a dessert, drinks or supplies. AND, in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, feel free to bring a dish of Hispanic/Latino culture to share with the community! Nut-free selections of course! Dear Families,

We continue to mourn the passing of Dr. Ponds who worked tirelessly to serve the students and families of the Montclair Public Schools. He will live forever in our minds and hearts and his legacy will continue. Please see below for details on the services honoring his life and legacy.

Parking will be available at Charles H. Bullock School parking lot. The District will be providing two buses at Bullock at approximately 10:30 AM to transport people to the services on a first come, first serve basis.

Following the service there will be a private repast for the family.
Dr. Ponds’ final resting place will be in Alabama.

At the family’s request, please send expressions of sympathy to Central Office/Superintendent’s Office, 22 Valley Road, Montclair.

Your calls, texts and emails expressing your condolences have been shared with Dr. Ponds' family who is grateful for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.

The annual Glenfield Art Festival will be held next Friday, May 31st at 6 PM. This is a school-wide event, showcasing works of art from all disciplines and levels, and is open to the public. The art students have been hard at work all year, and we hope you will join us to celebrate their accomplishments!

There is no cost to attend, but if you wish to participate in the craft stations or carnival games there will be tickets available for purchase. Cash is preferred.

We appreciate family involvement, so if you have a student or family member at Glenfield, and are able to help out for a portion of the evening, please sign up using the link below.
