SMAPA’s mini camps on June 2nd (Election Day) and June 19th (Juneteenth) are right around the corner! From 9am to 12pm, kids ages 3-9 can come to our studio for a fun morning of dance, arts and crafts, and more. Learn more & register on our website.
Julia Fuchs danced at Sharron Miller’s Academy for the Performing Arts (SMAPA) from the time she was a toddler.
Since graduating from SMAPA’s Performance Workshop Ensemble (PWE), she’s gone on to keep dancing and give back to the next generation with her choreography.
Julia’s piece, “Danse”, will debut at the Celebrate Dance! Concert on Sunday, May 31 presented by PWE.

🎙️🎥 Meet Cece Mitchell, a SMAPA alum, choreographer, and professional performer!
Cece began dancing at Sharron Miller’s Academy for the Performing Arts (SMAPA) when she was just 3 years old. From creative movement all the way through her admission the Performance Workshop Ensemble (PWE) program, dance has been a part of Cece’s life and calling. Today, she is a performer, choreographer, and a SMAPA teaching artist, educating students in their formative years.
Cece’s piece, “The In Between”, will debut at the Celebrate Dance! Concert on Sunday, May 31 by the Performance Workshop Ensemble (PWE).
Alumni like Cece are giving their passion, creativity, and time to support the next generation of young dancers.

We’re excited to share a NEW DANCE CLASS opportunity for Teens & Adults! Suzy Borden will teach an Intro to Ballet for First-Time Beginners on Saturdays from 12:15-1:15 PM starting Saturday, April 11 after Spring Break (March 30-April 5).
