Oh Dolly how we will always love you. As a songwriter and music educator Dolly Parton has been my North Star in everything I do. She has shown people that your story matters. Your imagination is your most beautiful attribute and most importantly where you come from does not have to limit where you can go. 🎶💫 She’s written over 3,000 songs, awarded 11 Grammys and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. And yet the true testament to her life well lived has been the love she left behind. The 300 million books she’s gifted to children. The scholarship fund she initiated in rural Tennessee and much more. Proving that the power of music is and always will be for the greater good. I will teach my students everyday that music is a tool for humanity. That musicians are superhero’s here to make the world a little better one note at a time, just like Dolly. 🪽🤍🎶💫
