Dr. Patricia Virella is featured in the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Division A Equity Inclusion in Action Committee’s Fall 2026 Literature in Action Series. The three-part virtual book-talk workshop series will explore key ideas from Dr. Virella’s book, Crisis as Catalyst: Equity-Oriented School Leadership During Difficult Times.
The sessions will take place on the following Wednesday afternoons at 3:00 PM ET:
• September 30, 2026
• October 14, 2026
• October 28, 2026
The series is intended for educators, school and district leaders, researchers, students, and community advocates interested in equity-oriented leadership, crisis response, educational transformation, and school improvement. The first 25 participants who do not already have access to the book will receive a complimentary e-book copy; recipients are asked to commit to attending all three sessions.
