✨ Our Motto: "The Light of the Lord shines on me, lives in me, and passes through me to others."

The way a parent looks at their child tells us so much about the heart of God.

When a parent hears their child has done something wrong, their first instinct is often to defend them. They see the angel in them even when the behavior says otherwise. While we as humans might not always be right in that assessment, it reminds me so much of how our Father looks at us.

We tend to be our own harshest critics. We let our flesh and the enemy remind us of every mistake and every past failure. We walk around feeling condemned and heavy with shame. But that is not how the Lord sees us at all.

Because of Christ, he sees us through the lens of righteousness. He does not see the sin, he sees who we are in him. There is no condemnation for those of us who are in Christ Jesus. That is the freedom we all need to finally let go of the past and step into our purpose.

I would love for you to join us at our next Light House session as we dive deeper into these truths together.

I was thinking recently about how easily things can slide when we stop being intentional. We see it in our homes, our work, and certainly in our faith.

When we stop investing time into our relationship with the Lord, that feeling of distance starts to creep in. It is not that God has left us, but that we have allowed our attention to drift elsewhere.

The principle is simple: focus brings life, while neglect brings decline. But because of Jesus, we always have the opportunity for reconciliation and a fresh start.

What is one area of your life where you want to be more intentional with your attention this week?

We often think we need to be more creative or more original to make an impact. We put so much pressure on ourselves to come up with the next great idea.

But our own ideas only go so far. I have found that the real power comes when we stop trying to be the source and start being the vessel for a Word that is inexhaustible.

The Bible is the ultimate content strategy. It is the only source that never runs out of material and never loses its relevance. It has stood the test of time and speaks to every person in every situation.

When we tap into the Word, we find that God is always speaking. There is always something new to learn and something valuable to share.

If you are looking for a community where we explore these truths together, I invite you to join our Light House sessions.

I was thinking today about how easy it is to become consumed by our own cares and concerns. We know God cares for us, but how often do we truly extend that same level of care to the people around us?

Indifference can sneak up on us. We don't mean to stop caring, but we get busy and focused on our own path. We forget to check in on a neighbor or to pray for the person we see struggling.

If we are going to be imitators of God, we have to value what He values. And He values people. He cares about their struggles, their challenges, and their relationship with Him.

What is one small way we can show genuine care for someone else today?

When I ask people about eternity, they usually describe a place of singing and bliss. I agree that it is a beautiful destination, but we have to talk about how we reach it.

The Bible is clear that salvation is found in Christ alone. When we repent and trust in what He did for us on the cross, everything changes. We move from uncertainty into a promise of eternal life.

But it doesn't stop with us. If we truly love our family, our friends, and our neighbors, we want them to have that same security. We share this good news because we want everyone to know the depth of God's love.

We are all walking this path together, and we would love to have you join our next Light House session as we dive deeper into these conversations.

I was reflecting today on why so many of us feel constantly overwhelmed. It is easy to think we just have too much on our plates, but I think it goes deeper than that.

Often, we are tired because we are trying to do things that God never asked us to do. We take on the job of worrying about the future or fixing things that are out of our hands.

Our only true job is to be a witness of the gospel. When we keep that as our focus, we can let go of the rest.

What is one thing you have been trying to control lately that you need to hand back over to the Lord?

I was thinking today about how a parent reacts when they hear their child has done something wrong. So often, that parent sees the very best in them, regardless of the report. It makes me so thankful for how God sees us.

We can be so hard on ourselves, can't we? We carry around the "bad" things we've done like they are our identity. But in Christ, that's just not how it works. He sees us as righteous. He sees us through the lens of love and grace, not our past sins.

If you have been feeling the weight of shame or the sting of old mistakes lately, I want to remind you that those things do not define you in His eyes.

What is one area of your life where you need to stop listening to the voice of condemnation and start listening to what God says about you?

We often spend our lives trying to find out who we are through what we do or who we know. We identify with our careers, our status, or even our favorite teams.

But what happens when the job is gone or the relationship fails? We feel lost because those things were never meant to be our foundation. Every one of those areas has flaws that eventually lead back to self-doubt and fear.

There is only one identity that is complete and everlasting. It is the realization that we are children of the Most High God, loved beyond measure and forgiven. This is the only place where we can be fully known and fully at peace.

I invite you to watch the full video to explore how we can move toward a firmer foundation. If you are looking for a community to walk this path with, come join us for a Light House session.

We often find ourselves wondering why we feel so distant from God or why certain areas of our lives feel like they are in a season of lack.

The truth is, anything we don't pay attention to will eventually deteriorate. It is true for our homes, our bank accounts, and our most important relationships. Neglect is a slow decline, but it doesn't have to be the end of the story.

When we choose to focus and invest our energy, we see things begin to change. We were meant for reconciliation and connection, not distance and decay.

If you are feeling that distance today, know that you can always start moving back toward the light. We invite you to join us for our next Light House session to find that connection again.
