🦅 MISD HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK

🇺🇸 Celebrate Freedom Week
Our 3rd–8th grade students celebrated Celebrate Freedom Week by helping lead our morning announcements each day. We are so proud of the leadership they showed! Be sure to check out Kynzlea Rios and Sidney Schenk from Wednesday’s announcements in the comments.

🍎 Pre-K Learning in Action
Our Pre-K students have been learning all about the life cycle of apples! They took learning a step further by measuring apples using cubes. We love seeing our youngest Eagles learning through hands-on activities!

🎥 CTE & Eagle News
Our 8th grade CTE class is a highly goal-oriented group that takes learning beyond the classroom. Students not only cover the state-mandated TEKS in audio and visual arts, but they also put those skills into action through their weekly Eagle News broadcast. Check out their latest broadcast here:

🐾 “Lock Up the Dogs” Pep Rally
School spirit started first thing in the morning with our football players helping with student drop-off and continued throughout the day leading up to our pep rally! Congratulations to Mrs. Eldred, Rudy Reeves, and Steel Brady for being named our Most Spirited!

☎️ Students at Work
Miguel Gonzalez continued his office aide job this week and put his skills to work by answering front-office phone calls. We love giving our students opportunities to build responsibility, confidence, and real-world skills right here on campus!

Another week of our Eagles learning, leading, serving, and showing their school spirit!

💙🦅 MISD Weekly Highlights!

Mrs. Eldred’s ELAR students enjoyed a fun book tasting this week! Students sampled different books, recorded their first impressions, rated them, and decided which ones they’d like to keep reading. 📚☕

We also hosted our 2nd pep rally of the year — Lasso the Mustangs! 🤠 Congratulations to our best dressed: Mrs. Rhoades, Dax Patrick, and Kassi Croxton!
