We know that school-day schedules don’t always line up perfectly with work and family schedules. Our Before & After School Care Program (EXTEND) is here to help make those busy mornings and afternoons a little easier for Monson families 💙

Serving students in PreK (Full Day Only) through Grade 6, EXTEND provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where students can spend time with friends, play, create, stay active, work on homework, and have fun before and after the school day.

We’re especially grateful for our wonderful EXTEND staff, who work hard to make the program a place where students feel welcomed, supported, and excited to come back each day!

⭐ Planning to use EXTEND for the 2026–2027 school year? We encourage families to learn more and complete the registration form soon, as space is limited and completed registrations are considered in the order they are received.

🎉 Monson High School has been awarded a $72,168 grant from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) to support the continued growth of our Advanced Engineering & Manufacturing Pathway.

This competitive grant will provide students with access to state-of-the-art equipment, including a CNC machine, 3D printers with laser engraving capabilities, laser cutters, handheld 3D scanners, and robotics equipment. The grant also supports professional learning for educators, ensuring students benefit from innovative, hands-on instruction using industry-standard technology.

These investments will expand project-based learning opportunities and help students build real-world engineering, manufacturing, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for postsecondary education and high-demand careers.

Monson Public Schools is committed to providing students with meaningful learning experiences that connect the classroom to future career pathways, and this grant is another exciting step forward in that mission.

We extend our sincere thanks to Massachusetts Life Sciences Center for its investment in public education and STEM learning. We also congratulate Principal Fontaine, Assistant Principal Zurawka, our staff, and everyone whose hard work helped make this award possible. Together, we are creating more opportunities for Monson students to explore, innovate, and succeed.
