Watching children create with nothing more than water and chalk is a beautiful reminder that learning doesn't have to be complicated! Today our preschoolers explored outdoor art by using water to "paint" with chalk on the sidewalk. As they experimented with colors, lines, and patterns, they strengthened their fine motor skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and early writing skills. They also practiced problem-solving by noticing how the water changed the look of the chalk and how their artwork faded as it dried. Best of all, they enjoyed fresh air, sunshine, and the freedom to express themselves. At Foothill Preschool, we believe the simplest activities often inspire the biggest learning moments! 💙🌈🎨

Today at Foothill Preschool, we celebrated something very special! 🏁❤️ One of our preschoolers was so excited to have his dad bring his "race car" to school so he could share it with all of his friends. Seeing the huge smiles, wide eyes, and excitement on the children's faces reminded us how meaningful it is to honor each child's interests and give them opportunities to share what is important to them.
Thank you to this wonderful family for taking the time to make today such a memorable experience. Moments like these build confidence, strengthen our school community, and create lasting childhood memories. Thank you for making our day so special! 🚗🏎️💙

🍿 Pop, Pop, Hooray! 🍿

Today our little learners had a blast turning popcorn kernels into fluffy popcorn! Watching the kernels pop was an exciting science experiment that taught children how heat changes matter, while also introducing simple cooking skills.

Activities like this encourage curiosity, observation, listening, predicting, and language development—all while making healthy, delicious memories together. Learning is always more exciting when you can see it, hear it, and taste it!
