💦🖍️ Learning doesn’t always happen inside the classroom!
At Foothill Preschool, outdoor play becomes a natural learning experience. While enjoying water play and sunshine, our children are freely creating letters, numbers, shapes, and drawings with chalk—building early writing skills, fine-motor control, creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
✨ Sometimes learning looks like a lesson, and sometimes it looks like a child creating freely on the playground.
We believe children learn through exploring, creating, and discovering—and learning happens everywhere! 💙

Who would have thought we’d still be enjoying water play in September? ☀️💦
Our children had so much fun cooling off, exploring, and learning while enjoying our very own splash pad right here on our playground! Water play is not only fun—it supports sensory exploration, coordination, social skills, and hands-on learning while giving children a chance to enjoy the outdoors.
We love creating these special moments where children can learn, laugh, and make happy memories together. 💙 We’re grateful to share these joyful moments with our Foothill families! ☀️💦😊

🎶 Music is part of our day at Foothill Preschool! 🎶
We love filling our classrooms with music throughout the day because music supports so much more than just fun! It encourages language development, listening skills, memory, rhythm, coordination, creativity, and self-expression while helping children build confidence and connect with others.
Sometimes we plan music into our activities, and other times we simply go with the flow of the children. ❤️ If they feel like listening to music while creating art, dancing while learning, or singing along during the day, we embrace it!
Music helps create a joyful, engaging learning environment where children can express themselves, explore their creativity, and simply enjoy being children. 🎨🎶💙

🧹✨ Learning Responsibility Through Everyday Routines! ✨🧹

At Foothill Preschool, cleanup is more than just putting things away—it’s an important part of learning! After completing an activity, we encourage children to help clean up, return materials to their proper places, and take care of their classroom environment.
Giving children age-appropriate responsibilities helps build independence, confidence, organization, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility. It also teaches children that they are an important part of our classroom community and that everyone has a role to play.
These simple daily routines help develop valuable school-readiness skills while teaching children to take pride in their work and their environment. 🌟

💛🌟 Celebrating Yellow Day at Foothill Preschool! 🌟💛
Our children had so much fun celebrating Yellow Day! From bright yellow clothing to activities and learning experiences, our classrooms were filled with sunshine, smiles, and discovery. ☀️💛
At Foothill Preschool, each month we celebrate a different color to make learning fun, meaningful, and hands-on. Color celebrations help children develop color recognition, vocabulary, observation skills, creativity, and early cognitive connections while encouraging them to explore the world around them.
Most importantly, the children are learning through play, conversation, art, sensory experiences, and hands-on activities—turning a simple color into a wonderful learning experience!
