🎶 Let’s Show Up for Musical Arts! 💚🤍 Join us at the MUSD School Board Meeting — Wednesday, 9/23 at 6:30 PM!

We’d love a student or family representative from Color Guard • Orchestra • Band • Percussion • Guitar to share a quick 1–2 minute story about what music means to you.

Can’t make this meeting? That’s okay — mark your calendars! Let’s make it a goal to have Musical Arts represented at every Board meeting, every other week. Our students deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

ORCHESTRA IS GOING TO SAN FRANCISCO!

We are so excited for our Orchestra students to travel to San Francisco April 29–May 1, 2027! This is more than a trip—it’s a chance to perform, experience incredible music together, and make memories they’ll carry with them long after high school.

They’ll attend the San Francisco Symphony, perform at the Music in the Parks Festival at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, attend the awards ceremony, and explore the Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square, Chinatown, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and more!

Our biggest hope is to see all of our Orchestra students on that bus together. Boosters are currently helping 2–4 students who need a little extra support, and we are also raising funds for a team dinner and snacks during the trip.

ORCHESTRA PARENTS — WE NEED A LEAD!
I would love for an Orchestra parent to step up and help lead our sponsor outreach and tracking. You won’t be doing it alone—the Boosters will support you. We want to build a strong Orchestra parent team and do everything we can to get these kids to San Francisco.

Parents/chaperones are also welcome to attend at their own expense. If you would like to ride the bus and volunteer with our students, please get your District V1 or V2 clearance completed.

I can’t wait to see them all on that bus together. San Francisco, here we come! Go Cats!

Calling all Wildcat artists! Design one of our official 2026 shirts.

Create a design inspired by this year’s Warrior Code field show.

ORCHESTRA — SAN FRANCISCO
Create a design celebrating Orchestra’s San Francisco trip.

DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2026

DESIGN GUIDELINES
• Open to any MHS Musical Arts student
• Designs can be hand-drawn or digital
• Keep the design school-appropriate and original
• You may enter one or both contests
• Front: Main student artwork
• Back: Sponsors will be placed in the center. You may design a border, frame, or artwork around the sponsor area. Please leave the center open for sponsor logos.
• Include your name, grade and ensemble with your submission

Send your completed design by 9/30/26.

STUDENTS + PARENTS WILL VOTE FOR THE WINNING DESIGNS!
