✨ We’re back!

The first day of the school year brought excitement, smiles, and so many great moments across our campuses. From reconnecting with familiar faces to welcoming new members of our school community, it was a wonderful way to kick off the year. 📚🎒

Here’s to a school year filled with learning, growth, connection, and plenty of memories along the way. We’re just getting started! 💚

MUSD educators came together for our Educators Summit to kick off the 2026–27 school year with connection, inspiration, and a shared commitment to student success. 💙

The day began with a welcome breakfast, followed by inspiring speeches from Board of Education President Maritza Travanti, and Superintendent Paula Hart Rodas, followed by powerful student performances and speeches, and words of encouragement from MUSD educational leaders.

Staff then came together for meaningful, site-based collaboration and PBIS planning, laying the groundwork for positive, supportive school environments where every student can thrive.

Here’s to a new school year filled with success and endless possibilities! 🍎📚

As we get ready to welcome students back to school, we’re grateful for the incredible community partners who helped make our Back(pack) to School Giveaway event a success!

A special thank you to Kindness Is Free and the Boys & Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley & Eastside for helping provide students with backpacks and school supplies to start the new year ready to learn and succeed.📚✨

Together, we’re helping make the start of the school year a little brighter for our students and families. 💚

If you wonder where she went, she is happily retired and spending the summer in France and Austria! She has an art exhibition coming up in September in Vienna. Right now she has an exhibit underway in San Diego, North County. Follow her adventures & art Susan Masley Thomas

🍎✨ Welcome to the MUSD family!

Yesterday, we kicked off New Teacher Orientation with breakfast, introductions, and a warm welcome from our Board of Education, Superintendent, and community leaders. Our newest educators also explored the city on a walking tour to learn more about the community they’ll be serving.

We’re excited to have you on our team and can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make. Wishing you an amazing first year at MUSD! 💚
