A big THANK YOU to the Monroe Gregg Township Fire Department for visiting Monrovia Elementary and teaching our kindergarten through fourth-grade students about fire safety!

Our students learned important lessons that can help keep them and their families safe, including:

Stop, Drop, Cover and Roll — What to do if clothing catches fire.

Fire Trucks & Equipment — Learning about the tools firefighters use to help others.

Home Evacuation Plans — The importance of having a family escape plan and knowing where to meet outside.

Charging Device Safety — How to safely charge phones, tablets, and other electronic devices.

We are so grateful for our local first responders who take the time to educate our students and help them build lifelong safety habits.

Thank you for all you do to keep our school and community safe!

Over the last couple of weeks, Mrs. Condon and Ms. Hufferd’s reading classes have been reading Holes. It has very quickly become a favorite of many fifth graders!

Today we celebrated the end of this unit with a themed day!

We escaped Camp Green Lake (and even had a visit from our very own Mr. Sir), we took an artifact nature walk outside, made salt dough Camp Green Lake scenes, and ended the day by watching the movie and enjoying some Holes themed snacks! We even had a reptile visitor come to see us this afternoon!

This was a great day to be a fifth grade Bulldog!

Our first graders had an amazing time at Kids Commons yesterday!

They had the opportunity to explore, play, discover, and learn through hands-on experiences. It was a wonderful day filled with curiosity, creativity, laughter, and lots of fun!

Field trips are such a great way for our Bulldogs to take their learning beyond the classroom and create special memories with their classmates.

A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this fun-filled day possible!

Learning is always more fun when you can explore it!

Our second graders had a wonderful time at Farmers Day at the Morgan County Fairgrounds Tuesday.

Students had the opportunity to learn more about agriculture, farming, and where many of the foods and products we use every day come from. They enjoyed getting out of the classroom and experiencing hands-on learning while making some great memories with their classmates!

We are so thankful for the opportunity to connect our students with our local agricultural community and help them learn more about the important work our farmers do every day!

What a fun and educational day for our second-grade Bulldogs!

Our third graders had an amazing time at Conner Prairie today! They had the opportunity to step outside the classroom, explore, learn, and experience history in a fun and hands-on way.

From discovering new things to making memories with classmates, it was a day full of learning, laughter, and adventure!

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make this field trip such a wonderful experience for our third graders! We love seeing our Bulldogs learning beyond the classroom!

What a great day to learn, explore, and make memories!
