MSDE is seeking applicants with direct experience in building and maintaining effective school library media programs that support learning and instruction. This short-term commitment requires approximately 20-25 total hours including reviewing Maryland’s school library regulations and standards, determining scope and sequence of the program guidance, and drafting clear user-friendly language. Work group members may earn Professional Development Points (PDPs) for their participation.

MSDE is seeking applicants with direct experience in building and maintaining effective school library media programs that support learning and instruction. This short-term commitment requires approximately 20-25 total hours including reviewing Maryland’s school library regulations and standards, determining scope and sequence of the program guidance, and drafting clear user-friendly language. Please share the attached Work Group guidance with individuals who may be interested in applying. Applications must be submitted via the MSDE School Library Media Guidance Work Group application by June 22, 2026. Selected work group members will be notified on or before July 13, 2026.

The Maryland Association of School Librarians (MASL) is excited to invite educators and library professionals to submit a proposal for a concurrent session at the 2026 MASL Conference!
