Congratulations Vivian!! We love your dedication with lighting our musicals!
Congratulations to Gateway senior Vivian Rader, who was recognized as a Commended Student by the National Merit Scholarship Program! About 34,000 entrants across the country receive this honor each September. Commended students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2027 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
“I’ve always worked really hard on my grades, so it's nice to be recognized," said Vivian.
Vivian is highly interested in engineering and participates on GHS's Robotics team, Quasics. She plans on studying Nuclear Engineering in college, and credits many of her teachers along the way at Gateway for providing her extensive and engaging instruction.
“I’ve had a lot of really good teachers. I really like Mr. Lattanzio, I had him for two years for Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry. Those were really fun classes. I’ve also really liked all of the History teachers that I’ve had. They’re all really fun and good at teaching," said Vivian.
