📚 Learning in Action!

Mrs. Phelps’ Literature/Composition II classes kicked off Unit 1: Elie Wiesel’s Night with an engaging, station-based learning experience designed to build background knowledge and encourage critical thinking.

Students explored historical context, character previews, themes, and other key concepts while making connections, collaborating, and engaging thoughtfully with the material.

We love seeing our students take an active role in their learning! 📖💡

📚 Readers Are Leaders! 📚

Dr. Stephens is excited to kick off book clubs in ECE this semester! Each book has been thoughtfully selected to align with ECE 3 standards while introducing students to engaging, high-quality literature.

We’re looking forward to taking a few minutes each day to Drop Everything and Read—because there’s nothing quite like getting lost in a great book! 📖✨

🎥 Students Putting Their Skills to Work!

Mrs. Herron’s Audio/Visual team - Macie Correll, Brianna Graham, and Tay Woods - recently had the opportunity to meet with Walton County Sheriff Keith Brooks and Monroe Chief of Police R.V. Watts to film a special video for MAHS.

The video will be featured on our new digital boards before our first home football game, helping remind fans and spectators of important stadium rules and expectations.

We are proud of our AV students for representing MAHS, working with community leaders, and using their skills to create something that will benefit our school community! Great job, Canes! 🎬👏
