ULM Mock Trial

The organization was founded in 2012. Students get the opportunity to learn courtroom advocacy and enhance their public speaking skills.

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Mock Trial team was created in 2012 by Robert "Bob" Noel esq., Dr. Joshua Stockley, and Dr. John Sutherlin. The team was initially small with just 9 members, but has doubled in size leading to the creation of two teams; Gold and Maroon. Wish our students good luck as they are about to begin their first competition round of the weekend! The students are proud to be representing University of Louisiana Monroe at the Memphis ORCS this weekend!

The ULM Mock Trial team is back from Regionals in New Orleans and feeling great! Our Maroon team tied for sixth and are on the open bid list to ORCS. We are awaiting placement, but based on our rank on the open bid list, the team will most assuredly get a bid to ORCS.

The Maroon team also won the prestigious Spirit of Award. This award is given to the team that showed the highest level of professionalism and sportsmanship out of all teams competing at the tournament!

Maroon Team’s Trinity Chapman got a witness award with a perfect 20 rank. On Gold Team, Hayes Nethery got an attorney award with a perfect 20 rank. Lastly, Gold’s Chloe Eagan got a witness award.

We are so proud of our teams and how well they competed this weekend! Also, a big thank you to Bob Noel and Charles Dupree for helping to get these students ready for the competition!

ULM Mock Trial started the season off with a bang at the Chucky Mullins Invitational! ULM’s A team finished with a record of 6-2, which earned them 3rd place overall. The B team did great as well, going 4-3-1 on the weekend! Additionally, Toby Green won a Best Attorney and Robert Brisby won a Best Witness award! ULM Mock Trial is on the road this weekend at Ole Miss to compete in the Chucky Mullins Invitational. After day one, one of our teams is 2-2 and one is 3-1! Wish the team luck as they compete tomorrow!
