All children are a gift from God and should be treated as such. All children have been given certain skills, talents, and abilities. As parents, it is our responsibility to develop, nurture, and cherish these God given gifts. The best atmosphere for learning is one of acceptance, encouragement mutual respect, fairness, consistency, where learning is made fun. Children are very important
people and are not just future adults, but vibrant little people, who have access to the same God that is available to all. The home and family is an integral part of a child’s education, and critical to the spiritual and academic success of the whole child. Elsie’s Place is named after Grandma Elsie, a strong, dedicated, Christian. She was a teacher all her adult life, was wise beyond just academics, and taught all that knew her so very much. She taught Sunday school till late in life and impacted a countless number of children’s lives. Children loved Grandma Elsie and it is our hope that this Christian daycare will carry on the work that was began by her. Elsie Haaland

We at Ms. Elsie’s Place Christian Daycare are pleased to welcome you and your family as part of our Daycare family. We are also pleased that you have chosen us to be a part of your care giving circle. Elsie’s Place welcomes and cultivates acceptance, encouragement, mutual respect, consistency, exploration, imagination, and enjoyment based learning. Every child is the top priority at Ms. Elsie’s Place I have and stay current with CPR (including infant) and First Aid, I take at least 10 hours of education each year and take and active part in keeping in touch with the latest advancements in child development. I and everyone in the house over 13 has passed a background check. I have posted a copy of the daycare’s most recent licensing inspection and other required notices. I intend to protect the health, safety and well being of your children you are welcome to look at any of my records at anytime. Our Philosophy
We value each child’s needs for safety, security, warmth, and acceptance in the promise of God’s love. At Elsie’s Place Christian Daycare, children are offered structured and unstructured opportunities to learn, grow, explore and discover. Children are presented with age-appropriate activities to foster their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth and development. We view the outdoor play environment as an extension of the classroom filled with endless opportunities to lead absorbing young minds to new discoveries. We believe wholeheartedly that as we empower young minds, we will be strengthening families. A predictable, organized environment with caring adults, clear expectations and appropriate consequences is important and supports the whole child. Our curriculum includes sharing and conversation time, reading books, singing songs, finger-plays, creative art activities, crafts, and games. Elsie’s Place Christian Daycare exists to educate students excellently in a Christ-centered environment. Their hearts, minds, and souls are challenged through God’s wisdom, God’s knowledge and God’s understanding.
