Marissa Meyer's "THE LUNAR CHRONICLES" series is officially getting an animated movie adaptation!

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation have teamed up to develop the adaptation. Although it's not yet confirmed, it is likely going to be a series of movies to adapt all the books.

The movie will be directed by Noëlle Raffaele and is scheduled for release on November 3, 2028!

Louisa May Alcott didn’t want to write a girls’ book. In 1868, short of money, she finally agreed—and used her own family to create Little Women. She had spent years supporting her idealist father Bronson Alcott, whose ventures like Fruitlands failed, and she had worked any job she could. During the Civil War she nursed Union soldiers, caught typhoid, and likely suffered from mercury treatment. Little Women, published in two parts (1868–69), sold fast and has never gone out of print. When readers begged for Jo to marry Laurie, Alcott wrote in her journal that she wouldn’t do it “to please anyone,” marrying Jo to Professor Bhaer and giving her work and purpose. That honesty—about poverty, quarrels, ambition—made the book endure.
