Students took on challenges like bottle flipping and juggling a soccer ball. Then they compared their results to the world records. They quickly discovered just how much a single outlier can affect measures of center—especially the mean, while the median can remain much more resistant to that extreme value.

It was a fun, hands-on way to see that math isn’t just numbers on a page—it can actually explain what happens in real data!
