Top performing 3rd grade in the District! 🎉🎉🎉Great job Mrs. Shelton!

In the past two years, our Kindergarten program has consistently ranked among the top in the district. This year we've improved to 94% proficiency on the District Literacy Screener (Dibels) Great job, Ms. Andrea Cooper and Mrs. Shirley Boyd.

In the past two years, our Pre-K program has consistently ranked among the top in the district. Last year, we achieved an impressive 86% proficiency, and this year, we've improved to 90%, placing us in the top two—just one percentage point behind the leader. Great job, Mrs. Koserog and Mrs. Carter!

🎉🌟 Celebrating Leslie Trahan! 🌟🎉

Today, we honor Leslie Trahan for 21 incredible years of dedicated service to Barkdull Faulk Elementary. As a speech pathologist, Leslie has touched countless lives, helping students find their voices and gain confidence. Her commitment and selflessness have made a profound impact on our community.

But Leslie is so much more than her title. She embodies kindness, compassion, and strength, making her as beautiful inside as she is outside. She served and helped in places that she quite frankly didn’t have to.
She did cafeteria morning duty every day and would always volunteer and tell me, “Doc, I’m not down for anything, but wherever you need me just let me know.”
When I say that this woman LOVES BFE and all of our babies it is not an exaggeration!

As she steps into retirement, we celebrate her legacy and the countless memories she has created. Thank you, Leslie, for everything you’ve done! You will be greatly missed, but we wish you all the best in this new chapter of your life.
