🎉 What an incredible week of end-of-the-year fun at Sodt Elementary! 🎉

Our week was packed with exciting events, special memories, and plenty of reasons to celebrate! We kicked things off with our annual Family Picnic, where students and their families came together to celebrate a wonderful school year. From bounce houses and raffle basket drawings to relaxing family yoga sessions, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

On Thursday, we were thrilled to welcome the talented JMS 6th Grade Band. Students sang along, clapped to the beat, and enjoyed hearing some of their favorite songs performed live. Their energy and enthusiasm made for a fantastic performance that had everyone smiling!

To wrap up the week, we held our final Y.E.S. Club Celebration under the sunshine. Students enjoyed eating lunch outdoors with friends, sharing laughs, and celebrating all of their hard work and positive choices throughout the year.

As the school year winds down, it has been wonderful to see our students making memories, building friendships, and enjoying these special moments together. What a fun-filled and unforgettable week at Sodt Elementary! ☀️🎶🎈💙

🎉☀️ What an AMAZING Field Day we had yesterday! ☀️🎉

A HUGE thank you to all of our incredible volunteers and staff who helped make the day such a fun and unforgettable experience for our students! Because of your time, energy, and support, the day was filled with laughter, teamwork, friendly competition, and nonstop smiles from start to finish. 💙💛

From the exciting water balloon races 💦, to the intense tug-of-war battles 💪, and everyone’s favorite — the water sponge races! 🧽😂 — students had an absolute blast participating in all of the events. Even the icy treat and water breaks were a big hit on such a beautiful day! 🍧☀️

We truly cannot thank everyone enough for helping create such special memories for our students. Your willingness to jump in, cheer students on, and keep the fun going made all the difference!

A very special shoutout goes to Mrs. Kendrick for all of her hard work, planning, organization, and preparation behind the scenes to make the entire day run so smoothly. 👏🎉 We appreciate everything you did to make Field Day such a success!

Mrs. Upchurch’s class had an absolutely PAWTASTIC time celebrating at their amazing Pooch Party with Blu on Friday! 🐾🎉 The classroom was filled with smiles, laughter, and excitement as students enjoyed reading to Blu, munching on yummy Scooby Snacks, building creative dog houses with STEM materials, and making fun crafts! 🦴📚🏠✨ What an unforgettable way to celebrate all of their incredible hard work and dedication during our Read-a-Thon! We are SO proud of these superstar readers! 🎊🐶💙

Good morning families,

I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother’s Day filled with love, celebration, and special moments with your families. I also wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank each and every one of you for making Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week so incredibly special for our Sodt staff.

Your kindness and generosity throughout the week meant more than words can express. From the delicious donuts and bagels, thoughtful lunches, gifts, treat boxes, and gift cards, to the many heartfelt notes and gestures of appreciation, our staff truly felt celebrated and valued.

A very special thank you to Rylee Shaffer from Shaffer’s Sweets for generously providing ice cream for our staff, and to AC Clay Earring Designs for setting up shop in our office during the week. Your support and thoughtfulness helped make the week even more memorable.

Our teachers and staff pour their hearts into supporting, teaching, and caring for our students every single day. Seeing the overwhelming appreciation from our families was incredibly touching and such a beautiful reminder of the strong partnership and support within our school community. It truly warmed my heart to know I am not alone in recognizing and appreciating the amazing work our staff does for children each and every day.

Thank you again for your generosity, encouragement, and continued support of our Sodt family. We are so grateful for all of you!

This week at Sodt Elementary was absolutely bursting with celebrations, fun, and excitement! On Wednesday evening, we proudly hosted our annual Spring Concert & Art Walk—what an incredible night it was! Our students sang their hearts out in front of their families and guests, filling the building with joy and pride. Throughout the halls, beautiful artwork, murals, and writing samples were on display, showcasing the creativity and talent of our amazing students.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs. Kendrick for the time, dedication, and hard work she poured into preparing our students for such a fantastic performance. We are also so grateful to Mrs. Martinez for the stunning artwork displayed throughout the building. And of course, a huge thank you to our teachers for the care and effort they put into helping students refine their writing so their academic growth could truly shine.

As if the week couldn’t get any better, we also celebrated our outstanding Y.E.S. Club members at our monthly assembly and luncheon! There is nothing better than seeing the excitement on students’ faces as they are recognized and celebrated by their families and peers.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, to our incredible families, dedicated staff, and amazing teachers—you are what makes Sodt such a special place to learn, grow, and celebrate each and every day!
