That’s a wrap on LTA Monroe’s Summer Transition Program ! ☀️📚
Time sure did go by quickly. Our summer class was filled with lots of learning and new friendships! We are so proud of our STP kiddos and all they’ve accomplished. Kindergarten here they come! 🍎

Wait a minute! Who says you can’t take children grocery shopping. LTA Monroe summer camp kids had a kitchen take over Friday.
Last week the camper’s theme was all about food and nutrition. They created sample menus and voted which meal to make. They made grocery lists and went shopping. The campers learned about price comparison, quantities for a group, how to pick a watermelon, what is bogo, and the dreaded word taxes!
So what was the menu?
Older campers made the main meal:
🍕Pepperoni pizza, salad, and strawberries
Younger campers made the snack:
🍎Apple nachos!

They all had a blast!
