Southern Connecticut's Binky Patrol Chapter... providing blankets to critically ill and traumatized children in the greater Bridgeport area and beyond.

This is the Monroe/ Trumbull Chapter of Binky Patrol. We deliver blankets to kids who need comfort. Our blankets routinely go to the local hospitals and shelters as well as to schools and individual homes when we hear of kids needing a hug. Blankets should be baby or child-sized and can be crocheted, knitted, quilted, or made out of fleece. For more information on Binky Patrol, visit http://www.binkypatrol.org/

Our binkies may travel far from time to time, but they always bring the same amount of comfort. Thank you to the volunteers who always help pay the UPS bill! 😍

Real people, real impact. Next week is Binky Patrol's 30 year anniversary, so let's take a moment to reflect on the people and families this organization has helped. Thank you Jeanne Binky Patrol Southern Connecticut for dedicating countless hours of love and dedication to provide comfort to those in your community.

We could not be more appreciative for all that our volunteers and Area Coordinators do around the country. If you are interested in becoming apart of our team to help children and families such as Kaiden's, please check out binkypatrol.org to learn more.

We are less than two weeks away from Binky Patrol's official 30th anniversary! 🎉

As we celebrate this milestone, founder Susan Finch has been sharing clips from a special video gift from Binky Patrol Southern CT highlighting the impact binkies have had on children over the years. So many of us also spent time reflecting together on what makes Binky Patrol so special.

Do you want to hear some of those memories? Check out Episodes 95 and 96 of the Binky Patrol podcast at www.binkypatrol.org (look at the bottom right of the website for the podcasts)

---Episode 95 features Susan, Barb, and myself as we reflect on the history of Binky Patrol Southern Connecticut, how our chapter got started, and some of our favorite memories over the years.
--- Episode 96 brings together Binky Patrol directors from across the country to share stories, memories, and reflections on 30 years of comforting children in need.

We hope you'll celebrate with us at one of our June events:

Here are some of the knit and crocheted binkies that were done/dropped off this week. I think most of the yarn had been donated. Thank you to our knitter, crocheters, and donors!

If anyone wants yarn, I have several big bags waiting to become binkies. Message me or the page if you are local and want to take a ride to Monroe and come “shop.” You could pick it up this weekend 😀

Every blanket we give carries a simple message: You matter, and you are not alone.

Today, Binky Patrol Southern Connecticut and the Trumbull High School varsity baseball team sent a care package to New Jersey to support the family of Xavier, a 12 year old who was critically injured in a baseball accident last week.

Filled with binkies for Xavier and his siblings, a signed baseball and some Trumbull High athletic department swag, this care package is our way of letting Xavier and his family know that we are thinking of them and hoping for his full recovery.

From Connecticut to New Jersey, we are sending comfort, strength, and hope. Please join us in keeping Xavier and his family in your thoughts and prayers. 💙⚾

❤️this shout out! It was perfect timing too as I gave binkies this weekend to Elijah’s Entourage, the nonprofit Elijah’s family started this year to bring emotional support and comfort to families as they navigate cancer treatment.
