⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We are SO excited to share this news.
We just earned 5 Stars — Demonstrating Quality — the highest level a program can reach in Michigan.
And here’s the part we’re most proud of: our highest score was Emotional & Behavioral Support, with a perfect 7 out of 7 in Positive Climate. There is no score above that one.
A trained observer walked into our building, watched our teachers, and wrote down that there was “ample evidence of connections between adults and children.” That kids appeared “comfortable, supported, and encouraged to participate.”
You can’t fake that. You can’t cram for that. That’s who we are on an ordinary afternoon when nobody’s watching.
And this is the hill we’ll happily stand on: a dysregulated child cannot learn. Not won’t — cannot. A nervous system has to feel safe before a brain will take in a single letter, number, or instruction. Regulation before letters. Connection before curriculum. Every single time.
So while the world measures worksheets, we’re measuring whether a two-year-old believes an adult will meet her with warmth instead of frustration. That’s the work. That’s the whole thing.
To our teachers — this score is you. The knee-level conversations. The patience at 3pm. The noticing.
To our families — thank you for trusting us with the years that matter most.
