The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Office of Special Education (OSE) will hold virtual and in-person public hearings to receive public comments on proposed changes to the Special Education Programs and Services rule set.

Please see this website for more information on the proposed changes as well as dates for the public hearings.

Proposals are due no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022.

This fundraiser supports the care and needs of our favorite school Facility Dog, Dexter!

Our students have been singing and dancing their way through the first month of school!

We hope you all are enjoying your summer break!

As we prepare to return to school, we want to invite you all to join us for the Educational Center Open House on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Educational Center.

We also want to be sure you all know that our first day of school is on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

If your student is riding the bus, your local district transportation department will be calling you with your bus pick up and drop off times.

If you have any questions about transportation, please contact your local transportation department.

If you have any questions about back-to-school paperwork that was mailed home in July, please call our main office at 734-342-8400.

We look forward to seeing you all at Open House on September 2, and then on our first day of school on September 8.

Our summer school scientists in Mrs. Lehr's room have been busy creating colorful lava lamps while working with our Occupational Therapy and Speech teams!

This hands-on activity was the perfect way to build communication, fine motor, and following-direction skills—all while having an amazing time. Learning is even better when it's this much fun!

🎡 Monroe County Fair Kids' Day is Almost Here! 🎉

The Monroe Autism Collaborative and Monroe County ISD are excited to once again offer the Fast Pass to Ride program during Kids' Day at the 2026 Monroe County Fair!

Individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, sensory processing disorders, or other forms of neurodiversity can register for a Fast Pass to Ride wristband at the Monroe County ISD Booth inside the Expo Center.

The Fast Pass allows participants to access the front of the line for midway rides, helping create a more enjoyable and inclusive fair experience.

We're proud to partner with the Monroe County Fair Association to help make the fair accessible for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
