Becoming educated entails more than just learning math & science. Its a preparation for meaningful living & quality lifestyles.
During Women's History Month, these young girls shared a meal together, prepared & ate sweet treats, engaged in honest conversations, learned table etiquette, shared their goals & dreams, and discussed the importance of showing kindness & grace to themselves & others.
We set aside a week of academic work to focus on some things that sustain a good life.
You girls are a part of Women's History everyday! Keep growing little ladies! I love you! ❤️

Picking up her student, a parent shed Tears of Joys witnessing the good works her student was doing.
She asked me what did I do to help her!
Nothing Extravagant!
1.) I asked GOD to help me help her.
2.) I encouraged the student to believe in herself.
3.) We got to work.
I don't know when, but we got to normalize allowing students the time to learn. We have to get back to building strong foundations, FIRST!! We have to slow down & allow students a chance to communicate & articulate their thoughts. We have to provide space for understanding when students are tired, overwhelmed, or just not ready to do it.
Why do I say this? Because somedays I'm a couch potatoe...I eat & fall straight to sleep. Other days, I'm so focused that I don't hear or see any distractions coming at me. Sometimes, I call my BFF & goof off on the phone. Other times, I just can't focus simply because I don't feel like it at the moment. But guess what? I get it done!
Children are no different than adults. However, we tend to judge & expect them to be better people than us!
So let them talk, walk around, take a power nap for a second and watch the difference you get...watch how open they become to receive what u trying to give them. Start speaking success over these students before they're introduced to the lesson.
My Girl multiplying!! You're Smart!! Keep up the Great Work!!!
I THANK GOD for the Gift! I'm Grateful for the Patience that was shown to me!
