**Job Title:** Full-Time Cook

**Location:** The Cub House ELC

**Hours:** Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our childcare center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for children, ensuring that all dietary needs and preferences are met while maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and cook daily meals and snacks for children aged 12 months-11 years.
- Plan menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions.
- Ensure that all meals are well-balanced, nutritious, and appealing to children.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage spaces.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and storage.
- Collaborate with childcare staff to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Engage with children during meal times to promote healthy eating habits and social interaction.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

**Qualifications:**

- Previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for children.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of staff and caregivers.
- Passion for working with children and promoting healthy eating habits.
