Calling all teen performers! This musical theatre class is designed to help young artists strengthen their singing, acting, and stage presence in a fun, focused, and supportive environment.

Led by professional singer, actor, and teaching artist Rachel Berkman (BFA, Musical Theatre – The University of the Arts), students will explore a wide range of Broadway repertoire while learning to connect emotionally to songs, explore different acting techniques, develop strong audition skills, and perform with confidence.

Over the course of the session, students will work both individually and as an ensemble to prepare for a final informal showcase for friends and family—celebrating their growth and hard work on stage!

To all of our students going off to college-most of you we have had the privilege to teach for many years (some of you since age 5 or 6!). We have enjoyed watching you grow as people, musicians, and artists. You have shown us your dedication, perseverance, and sharp listening skills. We saw your leadership and team work in our band classes. We have cheered you on and watched your bravery as you have performed in front of an audience. Your creativity has inspired us. Your future is bright!! We are honored to have been a part of your growth. While at college and throughout your life, we hope you will continue to embrace your musical community. Go out there-join a band or orchestra, find work gigging in coffee houses, build new friendships, and find comfort in your creativity and self expression. Stay in touch! You will be missed and we would love to hear from you. Call us if you need any musical guidance or help as you begin this new chapter of your lives. Keep playing and mastering your art!!!
