Ouachita Parish Schools is proud to announce that Sterlington High School Principal Doll Ann Johnson has been named a FINALIST for Louisiana Principal of the Year!

The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) made the exciting announcement this morning during the opening session of the Teacher Leader Conference in New Orleans. Mrs. Johnson, alongside New Teacher of the Year Finalist Jade Carroll, is now one step closer to earning the state title.

The winners will be announced at the 20th Annual Cecil J. Picard Educator Excellence Gala in July.

Meet Doll Ann Johnson, a 2027 Louisiana Principal of the Year semifinalist from Sterlington High School in Ouachita Parish Schools.

Johnson has helped Sterlington High become one of the highest-performing public high schools in the state. The school has earned Top Gains recognition, been named an Opportunity Honoree, and posted strong school performance scores.

Her leadership is built on high expectations, intentional support, clear accountability, and individualized pathways for students.

Sterlington Panther Pride Band presented their 2026 Spring Concert and Awards this evening at Sterlington High School and recognized their 2026 Band and Colorguard College Signees:
