I am a Small Childcare Provider.... Kuddle Bugs in home Childcare. 🐞🐝
When deciding between in-home childcare and center-based care, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Enrolling with a large center will allow you to have more flexibility with your childcare schedule and minimal facility closures as they have the staff and ability to combine and move rooms around. When selecting an in-home provider, you may have contracted hours, one or two staff, closure during the provider's vacation time, unexpected closures due to illness, unexpected health concerns, family emergencies, and frequent changes in policy as the provider determines what will work best for their business needs.
Parents may be asked to take their child to the doctor more frequently or keep them home while they are sick to prevent the spreading of illness. At a large center, parents drop off their sick child and this can go unnoticed. As an in-home provider, we can see and prevent this immediately. When there have been several cases of any illness, in-home providers may require any child showing symptoms to remain out of care or be cleared by a doctor before returning. While this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary. Not all illnesses are accompanied with a fever. (i.e. Children should not have a persistent cough, congestion, or drainage from their nose for several days).
It is important to understand that providers can only remain open if they are mentally, physically, and emotionally available and healthy. For this to happen, we need to take vacations and personal days off to prevent burning out. Please understand when we are out sick, we are not on vacation.
At all times my priority is to provide you with the childcare service you are paying for. While we do our best to remain open, we too have a family and emergency that may arise suddenly. Unexpected closures are bound to happen. I ask that you please have patience and understanding during these times.
I understand that my small childcare business may not be the best fit for your family and I truly appreciate your consideration. If you have decided to enroll with us, we look forward to building a position relationship with you & your family.
Plus side to choosing an in home daycare.
My parents do not refer to me as a babysitter, because they also know the rates for a babysitter would definitely be higher, and there would not be learning/preschool activities.
"My Philosophy
As a day care provider, I continue the parents’ role of caregiver, nurturer, and teacher. I am not a babysitter, nor can I be held comparable to any childcare center. I am dedicated to and invested in the care that children receive, while in my care, in a safe, welcoming, creative, and nurturing environment, emphasizing a fun, creative learning experience, a positive self-image, that will support the emotional, social, and developmental needs of your child, through a wide assortment of group activities, individual play, and quiet periods. I am dedicated to creating a warm and nurturing atmosphere that allows children to develop at their own unique rate. I strive to create a place where kids love to spend their time and a place where parents feel great about leaving their child while they are at work. I believe this is a partnership between the parents and myself.
I have more than 16 years in my own Daycare, and am certified in Infant, Child, and Adult First Aid and CPR.
