Thank you for the opportunity to teach these past five years at Monroe City R1. The parents students administrators and school board have been some of the most wonderful in my 26 years of teaching.
Our band at Monroe City has set many records and broken several others with one ratings at State contest consecutive 1 ratings at Middle School festivals and an outstanding marching Festival that is the envy of many in the Northeast District.
Therefore it is with sadness that I must resign my position at Monroe City R1. It is my intention to take another position in Southwest Missouri at Mount Vernon High School.
I am in a situation that I have to start looking at my retirement years, my family needs this move for a better financial future. I would much rather have made this announcement in person. It just wasn't in the cards. Please know that I truly enjoyed my time with you all and I am so proud to have been the director of the finest kids in Missouri.
