Neat article that explains Mrs Sandrock’s program. It is actually the ONLY one we know of in a public school. Other schools have harp programs, but they aren’t actual graded classes like what RMS offers-they are just extra curricular clubs/groups. At Ringgold, students can take Celtic Harp just like they take math or science.

(We actually meet at the middle school, but that’s a minor thing. Haha)

On Saturday, the Ringgold harps were requested to play for a private function at The LeMonte on Mt Washington. We played during the social hour of the Robert Burns Memorial Dinner hosted by the St Andrews Society of Pittsburgh. The St Andrews Society is VERY supportive of our harp students and furthering their studies in harp. They have offered numerous scholarships to our students, and we are thankful for their support. Those playing for Ringgold were Sarah McIntosh, Angel Wateska, Kay Balderose, Melanie Sandrock and Emily Urso.
