People ask advice questions all the time - financial advice, relationship advice, career advice. Why not questions about crime prevention and victims assistance. People have questions about a wide range of self-protection topics and they turn to their neighbors, Dear Abby, a boo
kstore, Yahoo answers, Google or more likely just suppress the question. This is where we come in. We are a one-stop resource for all things self protection related; advice, material, resources, web sites and local referrals. We are different from other organizations or websites because of our scope and depth. For the law enforcement community we want to be a resource to officers in cases where an officer does not have the time to adequately respond to a victim’s questions. If they feel the person could use some additional information or advice, they can refer victims of crime to us for further information and assistance. Victim agencies can use our resources to fill in those areas they may not cover. For example, a domestic violence shelter may not have information about locks, alarms or personal protection devices but want to give clients tools to stay safe. • Recommendations for martial arts schools and self-defense programs in their area
• Referrals to organizations, groups and blogs to support general self-defense
• Training videos, either our own or provided by organizations that would be sent out cheap or free.

Our website has the largest collection of websites and organizations on the internet. In addition, we have a breakdown of crime topics , downloadable documents and have reviewed over 180 books on the various subjects.
