π΄ Did You Know? Pierpont Culinary & Pastry Students Become Members of the American Culinary Federation!
One of the many benefits of enrolling in Pierpont's ACF-accredited Associate of Applied Science programs in Culinary Arts and Pastry & Baking Arts is that our students become members of the American Culinary Federation (ACF).
What does that mean?
β
Access to a network of professional chefs and culinarians across the country
β
Opportunities to attend local ACF chapter meetings and events
β
Educational resources and professional development
β
Networking with industry professionals
β
Scholarships, competitions, and career opportunities
β
A pathway toward future ACF certifications as your career grows
Your local chapter is the ACF West Virginia Chapter, and we'd love to get to know you outside of the classroom!
Our next chapter event is our Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 16, from 2:00β5:00 p.m. at Wiley Newbold's home in Morgantown. It's a casual afternoon to meet fellow students, professional chefs, educators, and chapter members while enjoying great food and conversation.
Feel free to bring a camping chair and, if you'd like, a side dish or dessert to share.
π Location: 2006 White Day Creek Road, Morgantown (map attached)
π Please RSVP here: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/AXjFEtBCKn
As part of the RSVP process, you'll be asked to complete a liability waiver for our host.
We hope you'll join us! Getting involved with ACF early in your education is one of the best ways to build your professional network, learn from experienced chefs, and make the most of your time at Pierpont. We can't wait to welcome our newest student members!
