Weather Related Closure Notice

Dear Families,

Due to severe weather overnight, our power went out around midnight. At this time, we are monitoring the situation closely to determine whether we will be able to safely open today.

The safety and comfort of the children is always our top priority. If power is not restored in a timely manner, we may need to remain closed for the day.

We will provide an update as soon as possible this morning once we have more information. I will try to text everyone in the morning.

🌿 Little Oaks Child Care Update 🌿

Thank you so much for your continued support and interest in Little Oaks! At this time, we are currently full and do not have any openings. However, if you’d like to be added to our interest list, feel free to message me directly.

✨ A few important details about our program:

🕒 Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

📚 I’m a Step 10 provider on the Oregon Registry, with extensive experience and training in early childhood education.

🍎 I participate in the Nutrition First program, so meals are provided at no extra cost. I provide morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack.

💳 I accept ERDC payments and base all private pay rates on the current 2025 ERDC Group A rate structure.

🚫 At this time, I do not offer part-time slots.

Our cozy, play-based environment fills up quickly, but I’m always happy to connect with families who are looking ahead.

🦕🎓 Today we celebrate one of our biggest dino-lovers and imaginative thinkers, Kashten, who has officially graduated from Little Oaks Child Care! 🎓🦕

Kashten has been part of our Little Oaks family since September 2021, and what a magical journey it’s been. His curiosity and creativity have brought joy to every corner of our days.

We’ll miss his roars, his giggles, and his endless dinosaur facts, but we know he’s off to do dino-mite things in his next adventure. 💚🦖

Way to go, Kashie! You’re officially a graduate! 🥳

🎓Today we celebrate Elodie! 🎓

After years of learning, playing, and growing together, Elodie has officially graduated from Little Oaks. Watching her blossom into the curious, kind, and confident little human she is today has been one of the greatest joys of our time together.

As an educator, these moments are always bittersweet. We pour so much love into our days: helping little ones take their first steps, find their voice, and explore the world with wonder. Saying goodbye (even when it’s “see you later”) is never easy. But we know Elodie is ready for her next big adventure, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Congratulations, my sweet sour patch girl! You’ll always have a piece of our hearts here at Little Oaks. 💚🌳

Hey there! As you all know we usually do a life cycle project in the Spring. This year I really wanted the families to have a connected experience as a whole, and I have some really exciting news! Through my 4-H connections I was able to sign up all the daycare kids for a special program called Farm to Home! Each kid will get one 10 week old piglet for two months.

Feed and cleaning supplies are provided. At the end of the two months, you will be able to decide what you want to do with the hog. At that point, you can keep it as your forever pet, or bring the pig back to the farm.

Your family’s new little friend should arrive this week with their food, cleaning supplies, crate, and a care booklet. Someone should be getting ahold of you soon to discuss delivery.

The kids are so excited for their project to arrive, and some have even picked names for their new pets and can’t wait to tell you at pick up time today!
